PNK Publishing is a multi-brand publishing company with authors, writers, creative teams, vendors, contractors, and investors across its business. I initially joined in an executive support and operations capacity, developing policies and procedures to support the company's expansion. When the founder departed, I became the primary person responsible for keeping the business running and now oversee its day-to-day direction with a high degree of autonomy. Leadership and other stakeholders are involved primarily at key decision points, while I manage the operational and creative execution needed to keep the company moving.

Execution

I oversee the operational direction of 5–6 brands, managing project workflows, production schedules, vendors, contractors, creative teams, and leadership priorities. This includes contracts, invoices, payroll, expenses, labor tracking, P&L reporting, and ongoing financial and project reporting to maintain visibility into the business.

I also manage the creative marketing strategy and brand positioning for author M. James, overseeing the development and execution of the author's website, marketing materials, copy editing, and digital presence. I manage the publishing process through Amazon KDP, coordinate with vendors and contractors, and ensure the author's brand, messaging, and creative assets remain consistent across platforms.

Beyond day-to-day management, I regularly assess what is happening across the business, identify operational gaps, and determine where changes are needed. I have implemented process improvements that eliminated a $30,000 operating deficit and managed marketing initiatives that contributed to a 64% year-over-year increase in gross direct sales. I also developed social media and paid Facebook advertising efforts that created an additional revenue stream while monitoring performance to improve campaign results.
